REMEMBERING OUR BELOVED SIR SARAN SUBBA

"He had the heart that cared completely. He had the smile that brought so much pleasure. He had the love that brought joy beyond measure."

Yesterday, my day began with scrolling the news as usual but by the time the day ended, I was sad and lost because we lost a person who was very very dear to us. Sir Saran Subba left for the heavenly abode on 19th June 2021.

The intimation of the demise of Sir Saran stands as one of the most disappointing and darkest days to the people of Pulbazar. The void he left behind will never be filled.

Sir Saran - a man of principle, a wonderful teacher, a social worker, a sports enthusiast, a leader, and the list goes on. Moreover, he was a loveable and a gem of an individual. Sir Saran always carried a big smile on his face. In fact, I never saw him angry and I bet no one else ever did.

I was fortunate enough to share a good rapport with him. My day always begins with badminton practice and he was the one to give me a wake-up call every morning. Even at the court, Saran Sir gave it all and would beat the young guys. Despite his age, he was a good badminton player. At times when we ran out of the shuttlecocks, Saran Sir always came up with the new barrel. He was always the encouraging father figure to all of us who kept us on our toes

Apart from being a good individual and a veteran sportsman, Saran Sir was a gifted teacher. I'm also thankful for the opportunity I had to work with him at Raja Ram Mohan Roy High School. He was a leader who was compassionate and always helped people inside and outside the school. He surely left a positive mark on the young minds he practiced with. His positive approach and cheerful personality always had that aura in the classroom as well as in the staff room.

Saran Sir always believed to bring about positive change in society. He touched so many lives, helped so many people, and made them walk in the right path, the path of wisdom. He will always have that loving presence between us because a wonderful man like him is never gone.

TRAPPED- The First Taste (Part 1)

It was another boring and tiring day for Basu. The hectic schedule at the office seemed to add another bitter taste to his messed up life. The clock on the wall struck 1 am. Basu was lying on his bed thinking of something, something which has not been going well since last few months. From the time his girlfriend, Baani, left him his life has completely turned around. Since then he has become less social and seemed to have a good of friends with loneliness. He tries to sleep but his eyes are wide awake. He then reaches for his mobile lying on the table, next to his bed. He stared at his lock screen for hours while tears rolled down his cheeks and memories flooding his mind. He unlocked the screen and still kept glaring at his mobile. He scrolled through the pictures of those wonderful moments, they shared together making promises to stay together for a lifetime. He could feel her presence everywhere. Every second of his life, everything he did, it reminded him of her. She was a

TRAPPED - The Anxiety (Part 4)

Just like any other day, it was a busy day at the office. Basu was busy working on his desktop. But side by side, he was constantly checking his account. He was desperately waiting for a notification. But couldn't get any. Niyati was online but she didn't text him. Just by texting her first, Basu didn't want Niyati to catch his intension of a conversation. So ,just to make his presence felt, he liked a random photo of  Niyati and even commented on it. Finally, his wait was over.Niyati replied. "So, any specific reason to stay single?",asked Niyati. The more he tried to avoid this question, the more Niyati was after him. So Basu finally decided to answer and end this. He started typing. "Niyati, when I see relationships scattered around, I get scared. I fear that I might breakdown if I become the victim of it. I have seen years of relationship end in a blink of an eye.Yes, I agree it does not happen to everyone. But I fear that I might be the one.
