TRAPPED- The First Taste (Part 1)

It was another boring and tiring day for Basu. The hectic schedule at the office seemed to add another bitter taste to his messed up life. The clock on the wall struck 1 am. Basu was lying on his bed thinking of something, something which has not been going well since last few months. From the time his girlfriend, Baani, left him his life has completely turned around. Since then he has become less social and seemed to have a good of friends with loneliness.

He tries to sleep but his eyes are wide awake. He then reaches for his mobile lying on the table, next to his bed. He stared at his lock screen for hours while tears rolled down his cheeks and memories flooding his mind. He unlocked the screen and still kept glaring at his mobile. He scrolled through the pictures of those wonderful moments, they shared together making promises to stay together for a lifetime. He could feel her presence everywhere. Every second of his life, everything he did, it reminded him of her. She was a large chunk of the part of the life he wanted to leave behind.

Then, he started deleting those photos one by one. With every single sound of the click, he was trying to get rid of those memories which were not only a part of his mobile gallery but rather was imprinted deep inside his heart.

Till the time it was all done, though he pretended to be relaxed but the truth was, he was still caged with emotions.

REMEMBERING OUR BELOVED SIR SARAN SUBBA

"He had the heart that cared completely. He had the smile that brought so much pleasure. He had the love that brought joy beyond measure." Saran Sir with his family Yesterday, my day began with scrolling the news as usual but by the time the day ended, I was sad and lost because we lost a person who was very very dear to us. Sir Saran Subba left for the heavenly abode on 19th June 2021. The intimation of the demise of Sir Saran stands as one of the most disappointing and darkest days to the people of Pulbazar. The void he left behind will never be filled. Sir Saran - a man of principle, a wonderful teacher, a social worker, a sports enthusiast, a leader, and the list goes on. Moreover, he was a loveable and a gem of an individual. Sir Saran always carried a big smile on his face. In fact, I never saw him angry and I bet no one else ever did.  Sir Saran Subba representing Pulbazar Shuttlers Association in Veteran Badminton Tournament held in Bijanbari (2021) I was fortunate en...

UNTITILED

She is the sunshine, I'm the sun. She is the thunder and I'm  the storm. She is the sea, I'm the shore, She is the poetry and I'm the metaphor. She is the king, I'm the throne, She is the muscles and I'm the bone. She is the shoe, I'm the laces, She is the deck and I'm the aces. She is the word, I'm the letter, She is the story and I'm the teller. She is the book, I'm the pages, She is the sentence and I'm the spaces.
